San Francisco Memory Care
We understand the unique needs of those living with memory loss, Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. Our caregivers are highly trained in the best memory care practices available, ensuring nothing short of a dignified lifestyle for our residents, and peace of mind for their families.
We believe that connection to the world around them makes a difference for our memory care residents. Our care services and programming emphasize the importance of personal relationships and special connections between residents, staff, family members and the Hayes Valley community.
Legacies™ Memory Care program is designed to promote recognition and recall for cognitive, emotional and physical wellness. Our experienced team provides compassionate, personalized care and support with an emphasis on residents’ remaining strengths and abilities, encouraging confidence, self-esteem and dignity.
Additional Support and Services
At The Village at Hayes Valley we honor our residents in our Memory Care Community through our Legacies Program. We approach each resident with dignity and care and find ways to ensure they feel safe and comforted through their eyes. It is important to understand that caring for those with this disease is not through the eyes of the caregiver, but how to best approach our residents with memory loss from their perspective. Our life stations are a way we focus on allowing our residents to utilize the various spaces willingly as this brings back some of their most fondest moments from their lifetime. An example would be the carpentry station for males or the nursery or dressing stations for females. These life stations are provided in each memory care community through the Legacies Program to provide the residents a sense of peace and comfort.
Moments of feeling lost and unaware of their surroundings are what many of our residents go through on a daily basis as the disease progresses. Our job is to deliver and care for our residents with the utmost respect and dignity. Each caregiver’s approach is unique to each resident. We take pride in our Legacies Program as we believe it is the best approach to aging in place at The Village at Hayes Valley.
